General Method

  1. Only examine entries for Berenbusch, Evesen, and nearby related families.

  2. Do not transcribe everything — extract only statements linking:

    • persons

    • house/place

    • inheritance

    • marriage

  3. Photograph or copy any cited archival source references.

Goal A — Determine when Johann Heinrich Krückeberg became holder of

Nr. 10

Look specifically for statements that:

  • connect Krückeberg to a particular house or place

  • mention a predecessor or successor

  • describe a transfer, takeover, or “kam auf die Stelle”

  • reference numbering (Nr., Stätte, Hof, Brinksitz)

  • provide dates tied to occupancy

Record verbatim wording.

Goal B — Possible marital right through Anna Maria Vahlsing

Search only for evidence that Anna Maria Vahlsing had a direct connection to the holding before her 1727 marriage, especially:

  • earlier marriage to Friedrich Kuhlmann

  • described as widow (“Witwe”) of Kuhlmann

  • described as residing on the place before marrying Krückeberg

  • remarriage “auf die Stelle”

  • transfer of occupancy through marriage

  • mention of a Leibzucht or widow’s residence

  • guardianship of children of Kuhlmann

Ignore patronymic inheritance — only marital occupancy is relevant

Goal C — Identify earlier holder chain

Collect all references linking these names to one property:

  • Johann Tönnies Eggerding

  • Friedrich Kuhlmann

  • Johann Heinrich Krückeberg

Especially note wording such as:

  • “vormals”

  • “nachher”

  • “folgte”

  • “übernahm”

  • “erbte”

  • “heiratete auf die Stelle”

Documentation Requirements

For every useful entry record:

  • exact wording

  • page or folio

  • cited original source (Kirchenbuch, Acten, Register, etc.)

  • village name context

What We Are Trying to Determine

  1. Earliest date Krückeberg is tied to the holding later known as Nr. 10

  2. Whether occupancy came through marriage to Vahlsing

  3. Whether Kuhlmann → Krückeberg transfer was hereditary, marital, or administrative

Important: These files are secondary research compilations — we are extracting leads and relationships, not proof.

Documents that Might Mention Krückebergs in Berenbusch 1700-1760

Examine for Krückebergs in the time period of 1700 to circa 1760. I would like transliterations, translation and images of pages in these documents were Krückebergs in Berenbusch are mentioned.

Documents that Might Show a Change of Holder to No. 10 Berenbusch

Objective

The objective is to determine whether the registers shows a change of holder before 1743–1744, and if possible, narrow the transition window between Kuhlmann, the prior holder to Krückeberg, and Krückeberg.

Identifier Title Life span What to do

1740 - 1830

Locate the earliest entries for Berenbusch. Identify Nr. 10. Record:

  • Name listed

  • Any marginal notes

  • Any predecessor references

  • Any date attached to the entry

- 1684

Go directly to the section for Berenbusch.

  1. Locate the holding that later corresponds to Stätte Nr. 10.

  2. Record all holder names listed for that holding (especially Eggerding, Kuhlmann, Krückeberg).

  3. Note any overwritten names, marginal notes, or indications of updating.

  4. Record any dates connected to name changes.

Check this document to see what Dr. Möhle researched: Research Report State Archive Bückeburg.

The six documents above are the non-church record base for reconstructing every named Berenbusch Krückeberg ca. 1700–1760 that will, we hope, allow us to identify every Krückeberg household that existed in Berenbusch in that period.

Order of Importance for the six records above:
Priority Document Title Why It Matters

1

Namensverzeichnis sämtlicher Kolonen der Ämter Bückeburg und Arensburg, mit Nummerierung der sämtlichen Häuser

Gives every householder by name across the two Ämter — effectively the earliest census of settlers. Almost certain to list any Krückeberg in Berenbusch.

2

Erfassung der Haus- und Hofbesitzer im Amt Bückeburg im Rahmen einer Generallandesvisitation (Landesvermessung)

Lists all farm/house owners — not just colonists — during the survey, by village. Complements the Kolonenverzeichnis.

3

Protokolle über die Befragung der einzelnen Hofbesitzer in Evesen, Berenbusch, Nordholz und Rusbend im Rahmen der Generallandesvisitation (Landesvermessung)

Q&A minutes naming each householder; can mention predecessors, obligations, or family details.

4

Vermessung der Dörfer Evesen, Berenbusch und Nordholz

General survey with land data; may include field numbers or property names but fewer personal names.

5

Spezialvermessung der Dörfer Evesen, Berenbusch und Nordholz

Detailed map-level survey; useful for matching house numbers from the other records but rarely rich in names.

6

Lagerbuch über Ländereien, Wiesen, … und Gärten

Land book: names tenants, describes holdings, and sometimes states who held them before/after — mainly for later continuity, not for the 1700–1760 window.

Krückeberg Records in Petzen Kirchenbücher

I would like to have the event, dates and facts for any Petzen post-1828 church records for any Krückebergs who appear.

Accompanying Citations

I also need an accompanying citations for each record. What is the name of the microfiche volume (or roll, etc) and where on the microfiche is it found, which film number or image number? We need enough information so that anyone else could go to the Bückeburg archive and find the record source easily and verify it.

I would also like transcription for the records below, which are approximate dates.

Krückeberg Emigration Dates to Look for

The Petzen church register for the years 1849 and 1850 may indicate the dates Johann Heinrich Krückeberg, born 1806, and Carl Friedrich Krückeberg, born 1807, emigrated. Johann Heinrich Krückeberg arrived November 5, 1849, in New York City, and Carl Friedrich Krückeberg arrived November 19, 1850.

This tyepwritten document came down to me through my father’s uncle who died in 1972. We do not know if the original version exists. It may have not been an official document. We don’t know?

Bleeke Records in Original Frille Kirchenbücher

We have the Fille Kirchenbuchduplikat record of the 1826 Marriage of Christian Friedrich Bleeke to Luise Eleonore Krückeberg, but I would the original Frille record, too. The marriage occurred 26 November 1826 in the Frille Gemeinde.
