[routing notation] Res: Cam dem Suppl: wäre zu verstatten, das Colonie Haus so zu stellen, dass die Giebel-Seite gegen den Wald gerichtet werde, beide Colonie Häuser des Vogt u[nd]. Brüggeman wären jedoch in ganz gerader Linie zu stellen B[ückeburg]. 25. May 1818. MKaas Durchlauchtigster Fürst Gnädigster regierender Fürst und Herr! Mit meinem neuen Hausbau bin ich so weit gekommen, daß das Haus am Mittwochen gerichtet werden kann, und ist mir dabeÿ vom Fürstlichen Amte anbefohlen, dass das Haus nach der auch der Anlage mit schwarzen Strichen bezeichneten Richtung erbauet werde, weil auch das Haus des Bruns No 12 diese Richtung habe. Das Stubenende würde denn beÿ er, und dabey die Unannehmlichkeit verbunden seÿn, daß die Stube dann den Ostwinde, die Hinterthür aber dem Westwinde ausgesetzt ist. Auch würde das Dorf durch diese Lage nichts gewinnen, denn wer dann die Dorfstrasse passirt, die wird vom Hause nichts sehen, als die große Thur und die vor derselben befindliche Mistplätze. Auch würde ich dabei noch einen größen Schaden haben, denn das Stubenende käme dann dahin, wo durch ehemaliges Lehmgraben eine Kuhle ist, die ich mit grösten Kosten ausfüllen müsste. Ich wünsche also das Haus in der mit rothen Strichen bezeichneten Richtung zu erbauen, und dann würde der Stubenende beÿ S[üd] seÿn, die Mittagssonne habe, und denjenigen, der aus den Dorfe kommt, einen freundlichen Anblick gewähren. Auch gewinne ich beÿ dieser Richtung eine Menge Grundmäuersteine, und da auch der Bruggemann in dieser Richtung bauen will, so wird die Regelmäßigkeit dadurch eher befördet, als gestöhrt. An Eure Durchlaucht geht also meine Untertsängste bitte dahin: gnädigst zu erlauben, dass ich das Haus in der gewünschten Richtung erbauen darf, und hierüber noch morgen gnädigst zu entscheiden, weil, wie schon gesagt, am Mittwochen die Richtung seÿn soll. The supplicant is to be permitted to position the colony house in such a way that the gable side is directed toward the forest; however, both colony houses of the Vogt and Brüggemann are to be set in a completely straight line. B[ückeburg], 25 May 1818. M. Kaas Most Serene Prince, Most Gracious Reigning Prince and Lord! With my new house construction I have progressed so far that the house can be raised on Wednesday, and I have been instructed by the Princely Office that the house is to be built according to the direction indicated in the plan by black lines, since the house of Bruns No. 12 also has this orientation. The end of the living room would then be positioned there, and the inconvenience would be connected with this that the living room would then be exposed to the east wind, while the back door would be exposed to the west wind. Nor would the village gain anything from this position, for whoever passes along the village street would see nothing of the house except the large door and the manure heaps located in front of it. Moreover, I would thereby suffer considerable damage, since the end of the living room would then come to lie where, from former clay digging, there is a hollow which I would have to fill at very great expense. I therefore wish to build the house in the direction indicated by red lines, and then the end of the living room would face S[outh], would receive the midday sun, and would present a pleasant appearance to those who come from the village. In this direction I would also gain a quantity of foundation stones, and since Bruggemann also intends to build in this direction, regularity would thereby be promoted rather than disturbed. Thus my most humble petition to Your Serene Highness is: most graciously to permit that I may build the house in the desired direction, and to decide upon this still tomorrow, since, as already stated, the orientation is to be set on Wednesday.
