Document 3: Drafts of Cameral rescripts from the Office of Bückeburg

Overview

The Rentkammer officially and formally informed the Ämter that they approved offering the plot of land under consideration to Jobst Heinrich subject to two conditions:

  1. there are no well-founded objections from holders of grazing rights, and

  2. that Jobst Heinrich can show he has at least 150 Reichsthaler.

The cost of the land (the tenancy right to the land) will be 6 Mariengroschen per Quadratrute (square rod).

They are to inform Jobst Heinrich of these conditions and terms.

Auf Euren Bericht vom 21ten d.
M. die Neubauerung †  betr:, unverhalten wir, daß die Ausweisung des
Platzes quaestionis von etwa 1/2 - 3/4 Morgen, in denjenigen
Grenzen, welche von der Forstdirection dem Oberförster Falkmann
angegeben sind, bewilligt worden ist, unter der Voraussetzung,

1.) daß keine gegründete Widersprüche von Seiten der
Hudeberechtigten eintreten und

2.) daß der Supplikant ein Vermögen von wenigstens 150
Rthl. nachweisen kann.

Der Grund u. Boden wird mit 6 mg p. Quadratrute bezahlt.

Solches habt Ihr dem Supplikanten zu eröffnen.

V.G.G. stands for "By the Grace of God", a formal sovereignty formula indicating that the *rescript was issued under princely authority.

A rescript was an official decision letter sent by the central authority in reply to a petition or report.

By the Grace of God

Upon your report of the 21st of this month concerning the new construction
of the tailor Krückeberg in Evesen, we hereby inform you that the
designation (Ausweisung) of the plot in question, of approximately 1/2 to
3/4 Morgen, within those boundaries indicated by the Forestry Office to
Chief Forester Falkmann, has been approved, subject to the condition

1) that no well-founded objections arise on the part of the holders of
grazing rights, and

2) that the petitioner can demonstrate assets of at least 150 Reichsthaler.

The land shall be paid for at 6 Mariengroschen per Quadratrute (square rod).

You are to communicate this to the petitioner.
